What are cleats used for?
Cleats are fixed to the framework of the building to then fix the purlins to.
How many bolts are used for a cleat?
6 purlins bolts are used, 4 to the fix the purlin and 2 to fix the cleat to the framework.
What way do I fit the cleat?
The smaller edge of the cleat which has two holes is fitted to the framework of the building. The purlin then bolts to the larger side which will be upright and has 4 holes.
What size are the holes on a cleat?
The hole sizes on a cleat are 18mm.
